07 What is summer without a splash? Capture one. A relatively dark background to pop out the water helps. So does a slow shutter speed, something below 1/60—and lots of patience and clicking.

Short depth of field helps with getting the water to pop too! Very nice job! I could have used a splash of that last week when we hit triple digits here!

Beautiful. I spent way too much of my summer trying to capture the splash and airtime as my kids jumped in the pond. Got quite a few though I never analyzed how I did it--I am afraid I use auto on my digi cam. :)

It is so hot here today I wish I were in there with him! How did you keep your camera dry? What focal length did you use? ISO? f-stop? shutter speed?
